PURPOSE

Service Tech Vault™ was created to make useful technical tools and
information accessible to everyone, regardless of financial means.

The software may be used without a software license fee under the
conditions below. This license is intended to preserve that mission
while preventing unauthorized resale, white-labeling, rebranding,
or appropriation of Service Tech Vault software.

1. FREE USE

Subject to this license, you may use Service Tech Vault software and
tools without paying a software license fee for personal, educational,
nonprofit, governmental, professional, or business purposes.

Using Service Tech Vault in a business that earns money does not,
by itself, violate this license.

2. SERVICES MAY BE CHARGED FOR

A person or organization may charge reasonable fees for genuine
services performed for another person or organization, including:

- installation;
- configuration;
- programming and customization;
- integration;
- system administration;
- hosting and infrastructure;
- data migration;
- training;
- technical support;
- maintenance; and
- other actual professional or administrative labor.

Such charges are for the service or labor provided and do not transfer
ownership of Service Tech Vault intellectual property.

3. ATTRIBUTION

Copyright, trademark, attribution, and license notices included with
Service Tech Vault software must be retained.

A recipient must not falsely claim authorship or ownership of Service
Tech Vault software or original Service Tech Vault content.

4. NO WHITE-LABELING OR REBRANDING

Except with prior written permission from the rights holder, you may not:

- remove Service Tech Vault attribution in order to represent the
  software as your own product;
- rename or white-label Service Tech Vault software for commercial
  distribution as another proprietary product;
- claim that you created original Service Tech Vault software;
- use Service Tech Vault trademarks or branding in a manner that
  falsely implies sponsorship, ownership, or official affiliation.

5. NO SALE OF THE SOFTWARE ITSELF

Except with prior written permission from the rights holder, you may
not sell, sublicense, commercially license, or commercially redistribute
Service Tech Vault software itself as a software product.

This restriction does not prohibit charging for the legitimate services
described in Section 2.

6. MODIFICATIONS

You may modify Service Tech Vault software for your own authorized use.

Permitted modifications do not transfer ownership of the original
Service Tech Vault code or other Service Tech Vault intellectual
property.

Distribution of modified versions must comply with this license,
including the attribution, branding, and commercial-distribution
restrictions above.

7. TRADEMARKS

Service Tech Vault™, ServiceTechVault™, associated logos, and other
Service Tech Vault source-identifying branding are not licensed for
independent branding, endorsement, or representation of an unofficial
product as an official Service Tech Vault product.

This software license does not grant ownership of any Service Tech
Vault trademark.

8. THIRD-PARTY MATERIAL

Service Tech Vault may reference or interoperate with products,
trademarks, documentation, software, data, or other material belonging
to third parties.

This license grants no rights to third-party intellectual property.

Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their
respective owners.

9. NO WARRANTY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SERVICE TECH VAULT SOFTWARE
AND MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

USE OF THE SOFTWARE IS AT THE USER'S OWN RISK.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE TECH VAULT RIGHTS
HOLDER AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL,
SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SIMILAR DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE
SOFTWARE.

11. NO TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP

Permission to use Service Tech Vault does not constitute a sale or
transfer of copyright, trademark rights, or ownership of Service Tech
Vault intellectual property.

12. TERMINATION

Rights granted under this license terminate if you materially violate
its conditions and fail to cure the violation after receiving notice
when a cure is reasonably possible.

13. SEVERABILITY

If a provision of this license is determined to be unenforceable, the
remaining provisions are intended to remain effective to the extent
permitted by law.

14. RESERVED RIGHTS

Rights not expressly granted by this license are reserved.

This is a custom source-available/community-use license and should not
be represented as an OSI-approved open-source license.
